This page covers classic upholstered armchairs for the living room and the carved pieces that sit around them. The earlier range included models such as Belle Epoque, Balzac, Chic, Kelly and Miriam; three current Francesco Pasi pieces follow for a room of the same character.
How armchairs set the layout
Armchairs fix the layout of a classic living room because they sit closest to the coffee table and to each other. Placed in pairs, they face the sofa and define the conversation area.
The models once listed here, such as Belle Epoque, Kelly and Miriam, were fully upholstered chairs made for that role. Their heights ranged from 77 to 114 cm, so the back of the chair could be matched to the sofa.
A carved sofa opposite the chairs
Facing the armchairs, the Gran Guardia Sofa with 6 Cushions by Francesco Pasi carries real gold leaf or silver leaf details applied by hand. Its carvings are made entirely by hand by master craftsmen.
A sofa with two armchairs across the table is the usual core of italian living room furniture arranged for conversation.
A TV stand and a console in cherry
The Gran Guardia TV Stand 2016 by Francesco Pasi has doors and drawers in solid wood, 34 mm, decorated in gold or silver leaf. The New Deco Console with Natural Panels, from the same maker, uses solid cherry uprights of 60 mm, with gold or silver leaf applied by hand.
Leaf on both pieces repeats the detail of the sofa on the other side of the room. Both sit within a broader range of luxury italian furniture.
