This page covers the Arya dining room, a classic collection of simple lines enriched with handwork, inlay and brass. It explains how to carry that idea into a dining room today with three current pieces: a carved barrel-top table, a capitonné carver chair and a sideboard with flat doors.
Handwork on the current pieces
Handwork still defines a classic dining room, even when the lines stay simple. Arya combined simple forms with ebony Makassar, inlay, brass decorations and metal feet. The Opera Carved Barrel-Top Table with Two 50 cm Leaves by Francesco Pasi keeps the handwork in its carving, finished by hand, with gold leaf or silver leaf decoration. Closed, it measures H 79 x W 220 x D 120 cm. For other forms, see our italian dining table range.
A carver chair at the head of the table
A carver chair marks the head of the table and gives the host arms to rest on. The Opera Upholstered Carver Chair with Capitonne Backrest by Francesco Pasi measures H 110 x W 64 x D 63 cm, with fabric in category A and B or C on request. Behind it, the Opera Shaped Sideboard by Francesco Pasi, with two flat doors, measures H 106 x W 170.5 x D 54 cm, with solid wood doors and drawers 28 mm thick. More pieces sit in our exclusive furniture range.
One finish across the room
All three Opera pieces share one finish list, so the table, chair and sideboard can match exactly. Choose Luxury White, Cream, Hazelnut or Retro Walnut, or 100 Gloss Ebony, Ivory, Taupe or White. Ebony recalls the dark ebony Makassar of the original Arya pieces.
