This page covers classic wood bedroom furniture by Francesco Pasi, from beds to chests and bedside tables. The maker's bedroom range spans upholstered wood beds, bedside tables, chests, wardrobes and dressing cabinets. The three pieces discussed here come from the Opera and Gran Guardia lines.
Solid wood where it carries load
Solid wood belongs in the parts that take weight and wear: bed frames, uprights and drawer fronts. The Opera Carved Bed with Capitonne Headboard, 180x200 cm by Francesco Pasi has a solid wood structure of 80 mm, carved by hand. Its headboard sets a capitonné panel in a carved frame, and that panel can be leather or fabric. Upholstery then adds comfort on top of that solid frame.
Proportion between bed and chest
A chest about two-thirds the width of the bed keeps the room balanced. The Opera Shaped Chest of Drawers, 3 Drawers by Francesco Pasi is 146.5 cm wide, against the bed's 212 cm, and stands 106 cm high. Its top is cherry blockboard, 29 mm. In front of it, leave the chest's 61 cm depth again as clear floor so the drawers open fully. Browse luxury master bedroom furniture for more pairings.
An open bedside table with one drawer
An open bedside table holds books and a lamp, while one drawer keeps small things out of sight. The Gran Guardia Open Bedside Table with 1 Drawer by Francesco Pasi measures H 68 x W 62 x D 41 cm, with gold leaf or silver leaf applied by hand. Its finishes include Luxury Cream, Luxury White and Luxury Hazelnut. See more classic italian furniture design.
